DISZIPLIN showcases the work of Nicolás J. Scatamacchia—a former commercial producer now carving out his path as a director. Argentine by birth, Italian by descent, and Berliner by choice.

Nicolás holds a degree in Film Direction from the Universidad del Cine (FUC) in Buenos Aires and a technical degree in Sound Engineering from TECSON. He also completed three years of acting studies at Arkhé Teatro Estudio.

Since the age of 19, he has navigated every role in the production department, starting as a Production Assistant and rising to Senior Producer, specializing in the commercial world. His portfolio as a Producer includes projects for global giants such as Coca-Cola, Sprite, Oreo, Visa, Diners, the European Union, AOK, and Puma.

In 2022, he served as Senior Producer on the European Union’s “Global Gateway” campaign. The undertaking spanned four countries across three continents, with shoots in Berlin, Madrid, Dakar, and Antigua Guatemala, which required complex international logistics and high-level technical coordination. 

From 2023 to 2025, he worked at Silbersalz Film GmbH in Berlin as Senior Producer, operating at the intersection of a production company and a specialized film lab.

As a director, he has seen his short films and music videos travel the world, screening at festivals in Argentina, Germany, Spain, Bosnia, Canada, Italy, the USA, and Japan.

In 2025, he decided to step away from producing and commit fully to directing. Since then, he has shot two passion projects, both of which have been shortlisted at the Berlin Commercial Awards Festival: “What Else is There?” was selected for the 2025 edition of the B.C.A., and “By the Fire” for the 2026 edition. Both films were made on virtually no budget, yet were selected alongside productions backed by several thousand euros. The question, then, arises: if Nicolás has achieved this with two no-budget productions, what could he accomplish with a real budget and a production company behind him?

He is a native Spanish speaker, has been fluent in English since childhood, and holds a C1 German certificate.

Currently, he is fully committed to a deep spiritual quest: finding the world’s finest hummus.
